Yuhong Group start to support this project from 2023 Dec.,  the project end user below Aramco & Total join venture company : Satorp, due to old design has problem , final the old heat exchangers face leak during the application , and then Satorp company sent the new request with their new idea to replace the heat exchanger tube bundle ,  change the heat exchanger tube from ASME SA179 to ASME SA213 TP316L , and Tubeshee change from ASME SA516 GR.70 to ASME SA516 GR.70 + both sides with 3mm cladding SS316L ,our engineer team rechecked thermal calculation , GA drawing , Mechanical Calculation ,  Final we submit full set technical documents to Satorp , and all other procedure documents & ITP,  WPS, WPQ,  PQR, all depend on ARAMCO system ,  after 14 months documents adjust , final we match Satorp company documents request ,  and we also i becamse the AVL company in China to make service for Satorp .

  • Reactor Cooling/Heating: Maintain temperature control in exothermic/endothermic reactions.
  • Acid/Alkali Heat Exchange: Tube bundles made of titanium or Hastelloy resist corrosion from aggressive fluids (e.g., sulfuric acid, chlorinated solvents).

C. Power Generation

  • Steam Condensers: Convert turbine exhaust steam back to water in thermal power plants.
  • Feedwater Heaters: Preheat boiler feedwater using steam extracted from turbines (improves plant efficiency).

D. HVAC & Refrigeration

  • Chillers: Tube bundles in evaporators/condensers transfer heat between refrigerants and water/air.
  • District Heating: Heat exchangers transfer thermal energy from centralized plants to residential/commercial buildings.

E. Food & Beverage Industry

  • Pasteurization: Stainless steel tube bundles heat/cool products like milk, juices, or beer while maintaining hygienic standards.
  • CIP (Clean-in-Place) Systems: Designed for easy cleaning to prevent bacterial growth.

F. Marine & Offshore

  • Seawater Cooling: Titanium tube bundles handle corrosive seawater in shipboard cooling systems.
  • LNG Carriers: Tube bundles in cryogenic heat exchangers manage ultra-low temperatures (-160°C).

2. Tube Bundle Configurations

The choice of design depends on thermal performance, maintenance needs, and cost:

  • Titanium/Titanium Alloys: Seawater, chlorides, or acidic environments.
  • Nickel Alloys (Inconel, Monel): High-temperature/pressure or hydrogen-rich fluids.
  • Cupronickel (90/10 or 70/30): Marine applications (anti-fouling).

b. Tube Layout & Pitch

  • Triangular Pitch: Maximizes tube count for compact designs (common in high-pressure systems).
  • Square/Rotated Square Pitch: Easier cleaning (used in fouling-prone fluids).

c. Heat Transfer Optimization

  • Internal Turbulators: Fins or twisted tapes inside tubes to enhance turbulence.
  • External Low-Fin Tubes: Increase surface area for shell-side heat transfer.

d. Fouling Mitigation

  • Electropolishing: Reduces surface roughness to prevent particle deposition.
  • Online Cleaning Systems: Installations like AutoTap to remove scale without disassembly.

4. Industry Standards

  • ASME BPVC Section VIII: Governs design and fabrication for pressure boundaries.
  • TEMA (Tubular Exchanger Manufacturers Association) Standards: Classify exchangers into TEMA R, C, or B .
  • API 660: Specific requirements for shell-and-tube exchangers in oil and gas.
